![]() | Newtown Renovation The clients of our Newtown project had a very good understanding of what they wanted to achieve, which made the process for Merlin relatively straight forward. The direction that was provided alongside the plans allowed for a concise, well executed and on-budget build for our clients. The design had elements of ‘old meeting the new’ which was requested during our initial meeting. The clients were very specific about wanting the extension to be completely new and the old part of the house to be given a restoration. In doing so, they wanted to retain characteristics of the era, hence preserving the original architraves and skirtings. The new extension has a glass doorway, allowing the light filled entrance to have a powerful impact. This entry statement is supported with additional elements including polished concrete floors and full floor to ceiling glass adding to the open feel of the home. Ducted air conditioning is another desirable feature. We at Merlin are extremely happy with the outcome of this project and excited for our clients to grow their young family within it. The deck outside will no doubt be home to many late nights together in the summer breeze. Materials External Cladding: Nailstrip Cladding - Monument Special features Integrated Gas fire |
