Sandy Bay Heritage
The aim of this project was to give this early 1900s house some rejuvenation, bringing to life some of the amazing heritage features and to build some more functional spaces into the first and second floor of this 3-storey house. MGA Architects came up with a great design to redo the bathrooms and kitchen using soft and modern materials which blended into the charter already displayed through the heritage timber windows, cast iron fireplaces and wide profile Tas Oak floorboards.
Care and attention had to be shown during construction of this house to protect the existing heritage staircase as all materials and products required transport via them.
Merlin constructions and the client were ecstatic with the final product considering the scope of works and the budget the client had to work with.
